WHO Collaborating Centres for Occuopational Health
The NCMM is working to the network of WHO Collaborating Centres on Seafarers’ Health.
The Universities in Gdansk and Gdynia
NCMM has collaborates with the Medical University of Gdańsk and the Inter-Faculty Institute of Maritime and Tropical Medicine in Gdynia (IIMTM). Insofar the collaboration has focused on the tripartite collaboration between IIMTM, IMHA and NCMM resulting in the joint work to publish the only indexed, scientific journal of maritime medicine in the world – International Maritime Health (see separate note). However, discussions have been made on how to establish a cooperation within the field of maritime medical research.

NCMM is involved in cooperation with Ordinariat für Arbeitsmedizin / Zentralinstitut für Arbeitsmedizin und Maritime Medizin (ZfAM) at the University Medical Centre Hamburg-Eppendorf on maritime occupational matters such as:

University of Cadiz
The University of Cadiz offers a master degree study in maritime medicine. To our knowledge this is the only place where such education is available. The leader of the programme is Dr Luisa Canals.
